-Gearbox faulty and beeping sound. When gearbox fault came I lost speed display ,limited speed. Took it local Citroen dealer today. They said: CARRIED OUT GLOBAL TEST .REMADE WIRING CONNECTIONS TO UNDER BONNET FUSE BOX ,CLEARED FAULT CODES. They charged 42.50 plus VAT total of 51 pounds.
I have problems with my 2009 C4GP. The issue appears as warning lights for ABS, ESP, Handbrake and Gearbox. The car has the EGS semi auto box, and will not change up in Auto and will only change to max of 3rd in manual. I believe this is the limp mode activating (please confirm).
The 'full auto' - (not EGS) gearbox is not all that common in the C4 range so you may have to await a reply on this 'Citroen Assist' BTW is not usually staffed by Citroen specialists. It's farmed out to people like the AA (Automobile Association) or RAC (Royal Automobile Club) in the UK (whichever charges least probably) - don't know who it
I see your C4 is a newer model. I presume its a six speed auto. I dont know if they have to same automatic gear boxes. Thanks for the tip about looking under the battery for the breather. what type of fluid did you use and what quantity? I have just bought the car.
