If you have a password on it, Share it with your friend, so he can join your session. We found the issue, he had passwords filtered and it hadn't registered with him that could be an issue.

You have to be a contractor for the other Farm. You can select it in the tab where you select to be a farm manager. If you go into the Farms panel, there is a way for the farm manager to transfer funds to the other farm. So you can make a deal to have the contractor dump 45000l of Wheat into your grain mill and send him the agreed upon cash amount.
To do so: Open Steam > Go to Library > Right-click on Farming Simulator 22. Now, click on Properties > Click on the General tab > Go to Set Launch Options. Here type this command-line argument -windowed –noborder on the field. Restart the Steam client to apply changes.
A: If you set up a savegame as multiplayer (with multiple farms) and then open that savegame in single-player afterward then all the machinery gets reset to one farm. A (2): There's currently also a problem where if servers get disconnected sometimes the savegame reverts to a single-player save game again.
